Valuable orientations of rural and city dwellers of the Penza region are investigated in this article. The analysis of values of the population is carried out on the basis of results of sociological research: the structure of valuable consciousness of towns- and countryfolk is defined, features of valuable cultural space of the population of the Penza region come to light.
